HARVESTING DAY! HIGH YIELD, GOOD %STARCH

Some months before, I talked about the advantages to work with a double purpose variety, "Brasilian" , planted in Colombia on the Llanos Orientales region. We can use for starch production and for fresh roots market. It sound good, bud some times the satrch industry cannot compete with the prices at the local market "Corabastos" when the cassava production is low around the country. It is better for the industry to use an special variety, with high starch and no atractive for the local market, "Corpoica Melua 31" is one of this cassava varieties. I hope very soon to see this variety leading the cassava starch industry in Colombia.
